Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

MLK Day is over but we are so proud of the 70 Illini volunteers who packaged over 13,000 meals to commemorate Dr. King through service. Great work Illinois!

Join the University of Illinois for a celebration of the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with multiple service sites including: volunteering with youth, outdoor cleanup and maintenance for seniors, neighborhood cleanup, meal packaging, hunger-related volunteering, and other service projects.

Kickoff at 12:00 Noon at the University of Illinois Activities and Recreation Center (ARC), 201 E. Peabody Drive, C.

  • 12:00-1:00p lunch & MLK discussion and presentation
  • 1:00-4:00p service activities at various sites

Volunteering begins at 1:00 PM at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green Street, U – I-Rooms ABC.
