Lacie Damhorst is an original member of the Illini Fighting Hunger Board of Directors. Since the organization’s launch in 2012, Lacie has contributed to many major events including annual projects with Benedictine University and the Community and Campus Day of Service. From Dunlap, IL and an alum of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Lacie has always been engaged in community service. As an undergraduate, Lacie directed medical education for the Illini Medical Screening Society. During her graduate work in nursing at Rush University in Chicago, IL, Lacie was an Albert Schweitzer Fellow, creating a health literacy program for older adults at a community center on the west side of Chicago. In her day job, Lacie serves our community as an RN at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
