Volunteer at a student team packaging event
Join us at one of our scheduled student team packaging events throughout the semester, held at the Wesley Student Center on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. Events are usually one to two hours long and directly benefit the Wesley Food Pantry and other local pantries. For inquiries about how you can volunteer at a packaging event, please contact us.
Volunteer as a member of our student team
Students of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign may apply to be members of Illini Fighting Hunger to help lead our events.
Volunteer as a member of our board of directors
Our Board is composed of Champaign County community members, graduate students, and select undergrads fulfilling key roles on the Leadership Team. Does one of these categories apply to you? Let us know of your interest in joining our Board!
Are you a group?
The Illini Fighting Hunger student team schedules regular packaging events on most available weekends of each semester. These events take place at our base of operations on campus, the Wesley Student Center at 1203 West Green Street in Urbana. We invite you to join us for one of these events, or to enjoy an exclusive group packaging event arranged for your whole team to come and participate. Contact us to reserve your spot on our calendar for this wonderful team-building and community-serving opportunity.
As a nonprofit service group, 100% of our packaging events are donations-funded. We encourage and graciously accept all donations in advance or at the door. Learn about sponsoring a packaging event.
Note: Group event requests for a specific date should be made at least two months in advance. Due to students’ limited transportation, requests for off-campus events are not guaranteed for approval.
