Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (no salt added)
- 2 C skim milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash seasoning
- 1 pkg Meal Starter Mix
- 2 C chicken
- 1 14.5 oz can green beans (no salt added)
- 1 4 oz can mushrooms, drained and rinsed
- 1 C shredded mozzarella cheese (low-moisture, part-skim)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Coat the casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large sauce pan, combine milk, cream soup, water, and Meal Starter Mix and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in chicken, green beans, and mushrooms. Pour into the prepared casserole dish.
- Spread shredded cheese on top of the mixture.
- Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cover the casserole loosely with foil to prevent over-browning. Bake an additional 20 minutes. Let it cool before cutting and serve with a side of salad.
