Spanish Rice
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 onion
- 1 15 oz can peas (no salt added) or frozen
- 1 pkg Meal Starter Mix
- 2 14.5 oz low sodium tomato sauce
- 3 C low sodium chicken broth
- 2 C cooked chicken
Instructions
- Heat oil in skillet, then add onion and sauté, stirring frequently, until onion is translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Cook Meal Starter Mix according to package using chicken broth (or water) and tomatoes instead of just water. Mix in spices. Then add cooked chicken, onions, and peas.
